Does your business card mean business?

Does your business card mean business?

Well, it should do – if you haven’t taken any short cuts.

We’ve all received a business card that looks like it was put together without any thought, without any style, using a mish-mash of typefaces and topped off with a trip through an office printer. What kind of impression is that going to leave? Probably something like this . . .

. . . cheap, boring and confusing. Don’t let this be the first brand experience your audience receives.

Our aim is to make your business cards as professional and informative as possible, and of course, to ooze quality too.

Do you want your business cards to impress?
Then selecting a quality business card material is a good starting point

Why is it that we flick the corners and bend the material slightly to see how thick the board is? It’s because they are tactile and we expect a business card to make a good first impression, don’t we? There are so many materials you can print your business cards on:

  • Uncoated textured and smooth boards (Printed in Pantone colours or four colour process) – For a very tactile and premium feel.
  • Silk finish or Gloss finish boards – ideal for showing full colour imagery.
  • Coloured uncoated boards – for when you want to take the premium feel to the next level. These boards come alive when printed with Spot colours and can be enhanced further with embossing and foiling. There might even be a coloured board to match your brand colour!

Just ask us for some samples, this will help you make a decision and they can be with you in a couple of days.

Is your current logo suitable for print? Will it look good on your business card?
If not, we might be able to help by re-drawing it and making it “Print-Ready”. We get supplied with all sorts of file types with different resolutions. Low resolution files, often taken from websites, are going to look really ropey.

When a logo is created or re-drawn at Admiral Design and Print the files we supply you with will be good enough to use online, in print and in LARGE format printing (signage and exhibition use), without loss of quality.

Would you like us to create a new logo for you or simply refresh the one you already have?

If yes, we can advise you on how we go about creating a logo that will enhance your brand. This normally involves a quick Q&A session to establish a brief. Our design team will then create something unique for you.

Now that we have a logo that’s “good to go”, and look great in print, we can get down to business and look at the content of the business card.

A couple of things to consider . . .

Do you want to print on both sides of the business card? (why wouldn’t you) and what messaging would you like on the card? A few points to get you thinking:

  • Unique selling points
  • Services
  • Strap lines
  • QR code
  • Social media logos
  • How you want to be contacted

When these decisions have been made we can design your cards for you and send you pdf proofs for approval.

Just remember, the business card can be the first impression your potential customers get of you and your business – so make it a good impression and invest in Admiral Design and Print, we’re all the help you need.

If you are based locally, in Wellingborough, Kettering, Corby or Northampton, we are more than happy to drop by and discuss any of your future projects and show you a sample or two.
