Admiral Design and Print were asked to print a large format graphic to create a lifestyle impression in a Glassroom showroom. For those of you who don’t know, a Glassroom is a stylish way to enhance and utilise your home’s outdoor spaces.
The showroom is based on-site at The Garage Door Centre in Wellingborough, where you will find examples of Garage Doors, Security Gates and of course, the Glassroom.
Why use large format printed graphics?
Although the showroom clearly shows the benefit of useable space and the amazing light benefit you get from a Glassroom it needed a more homely feel to help the customer visualize the lifestyle benefit.
Admiral were asked to produce a modern looking living room space image that could be printed at 4 meters wide by 2 meters tall and easily mounted to an internal wall.
After a site visit to measure up and take a brief, Admiral set about preparing the artwork and printing four large foamex panels.
Realistic, lifesize, lightweight and easy to install
“Our large format printing technology is ideal for printing realistic images to very large sizes. It’s quite simple really, you create a very high resolution image, making sure there is enough resolution to print effectively to large format, and then print directly onto the substrate of your choice. In this instance we chose a 5mm foamex because it is lightweight, durable and ideal for wall mounting” said Sarah White, designer at Admiral Design and Print.
When the four large format panels were carefully mounted to the wall the impact was instant. The fitting has to be accurate to create a seamless living room image.
“It was a total transformation, the room now looks inviting and positions our product perfectly”, said Alice Dove from The Garage Door Centre.
